Leadership, Evaluation, and Risk Analysis

In its 30-year history, Electronic Equipment Venture (EEV) has seen a number of ups and downs, but the performance has been declining steadily in the past decade. Tony has taken the analyses of the income and balance sheet you provided and spent several days digesting the massive amount of information. This includes the analysis of the company’s financial position, operating results, resource flows, and industry comparison.

Now Tony would like you to condense the information and create a presentation. Tony has asked you to create a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis and a risk analysis for the company. Using all of the financial statements and the SWOT analysis, provide a recommendation for the direction of the company in both the short term and long term. Be sure to be specific on which financial ratios and figures within the financial statements you are utilizing.

, as the HR manager, to determine skills required for the new IT system that will be implemented in the purchasing department.

Imagine you are the HR manager of a healthcare organization with 250 employees. You have been asked, as the HR manager, to determine skills required for the new IT system that will be implemented in the purchasing department. The new system will impact all non-supervisory employees. Implementation of the new system has an aggressive timeline and the needs analysis will require effective techniques to uncover skill gaps and provide training as needed. In addition to the time constraint, there have also been performance issues in the purchasing department related to relationships with pharmaceutical organizations. So organizational leadership would like for you to assess whether or not current employees can be trained to effectively utilize the new IT system and improve external relationships, and whether or not new positions need to be added to support the IT system implementation.

Create a report that details training and recruitment processes at the organization.

Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word report that includes the following components:

Summary of your suggested needs analysis process

Recommendations for how to address organizational constraints related to time and performance

Linkages between performance, training, recruitment and needs assessment

Options for the needs analysis

Recommend the best option for the needs analysis, including your rationale for selecting this option

Your recommendations for training and recruitment

Cite any outside sources according to APA formatting guidelines.

Submit your assignment.

Qualitative Analysis Discussion

3-4 pages long.

Qualitative analysis. Keep the hypotheses in mind while you write. Each result must refer to a stated hypothesis. Describe all results that are directly related to the research questions or hypotheses. Start with hypotheses you were able to support with significant statistics before reporting nonsignificant trends. Then describe any additional results that are more indirectly relevant to your questions.

Hypothesis: Teenagers in emotional distress, and under peer influence, tend to utilize the most ineffective ways to be able to get through emotional distress thereby making the situation even worse.

Attached is my introduction, literature review, and an example of the qualitative analysis for your review.

Open and Closed models or Organization assignment

      • What services, goods, or activities does the organization provide? Explain.
    • Specifically, in terms of organizational structure, how are the two organizations different? Explain in detail.
    • Specifically, in terms of organizational structure, how are the two organizations similar? Explain in detail.
  • Be sure to reference all sources using APA style.

Emerging Diseases (Environmental Health)

Emerging Diseases

Assessment Instructions

This assessment requires you to write a report assessing the basic environmental health principles, theories, and issues of an emerging or reemerging disease.

To begin, select one emerging or reemerging disease to research for this report. Note: The WHO Emerging Diseases and CDC Web sites (both linked in the Resources under the Internet Resources heading) list a variety of relevant diseases.

Then, craft a 3–4-page report that analyzes the disease and addresses the following points:

  • Provide a brief historical account of the disease selected. Consider why this disease is emerging or reemerging.
  • What areas of the globe are currently affected by this disease?
  • How is it transmitted?
  • What is the incubation period?
  • What is the treatment for this disease?
  • What is the role of vaccines in combatting this disease? If there is no vaccine, why not?
  • What is the predicted prognosis of recovery and residual effect?

Your report should be logically organized around a point you would like to make regarding the emerging or reemerging disease you select. Consider the MEAL Plan to help organize your thoughts:

  • Main Idea: What is the main point or idea that you want your reader to remember about this disease?
  • Evidence: What does the research say? Support your point with evidence from the literature you have researched. (This is where you would include facts about the history, transmission, incubation, treatment, and prevention of the disease. Refer to your sources when you provide your evidence.)
  • Assess: Summarize main ideas from articles related to the disease. Apply health principles and theories that relate directly or indirectly to your main point. Make explicit links between source articles and your current report.
  • Link: Integrate and combine information from your source articles to your main point or idea.

Additional Requirements

Use the APA Paper Template (linked in the Resources under the Required Resources heading) to format your report.

  • Written Communication: Written communication should be free of errors that detract from the overall message.
  • Length: This report should be 3–4 pages in content length. Include a separate title page and a separate references page.
  • Font and Font Size: Times New Roman, 12-point, double-spaced. Use Microsoft Word.
  • APA Formatting: Resources and in-text citations should be formatted according to APA (6th edition) style and formatting.
  • Number of Resources: You are required to cite a minimum of 2 scholarly resources. You may conduct independent research for resources and references to support your report. Provide a reference list and in-text citations for all of your resources, using APA format. You may cite texts and authors from the Resources.

Overview

Create a 3–4-page report on the basic environmental health principles, theories, and issues of an emerging or reemerging disease.

By successfully completing this assessment, you will demonstrate your proficiency in the following course competencies and assessment criteria:

  • Competency 1: Assess basic environmental health principles, theories, and issues.
    • Analyze an emerging or reemerging disease.
    • Describe how an emerging disease is transmitted.
    • Describe the incubation period of an emerging disease.
    • Describe how an emerging disease is treated.
    • Predict prognosis of recovery and residual effects of an emerging disease.
    • Assess the role of vaccines in disease prevention.
  • Competency 4: Communicate effectively in a variety of formats.
    • Write coherently to support a central idea in appropriate format with correct grammar, usage, and mechanics

    Context

To understand emerging and reemerging diseases, you must first understand the interconnectedness between human health and the environment and have a grasp on epidemiology. The Assessment 1 Context document for this assessment provides a brief overview of the concept of interconnectedness and the field of epidemiology. You may wish to review this document for key ideas and information.

Questions to Consider

To deepen your understanding, you are encouraged to consider the questions below and discuss them with a fellow learner, a work associate, an interested friend, or a member of the business community.

  • In your own words, what is your definition of environmental health? Why?
  • Is environmental health is a global issue? Why or why not?
  • Is environmental health an individual concern? Why or why not?
  • Do you think most Americans understand the term environmental health? Why or why not?
  • Some people feel vaccination should be voluntary and not mandated. What is a reasonable argument to support that position?
  • What is an emerging or reemerging disease?

ENGL2030 SUNY Buffalo 5 Picture Story Book Assignment

In one single post to this forum, please post pictures of covers for 5 picture books (either copied/pasted from its photo on Amazon, elsewhere online, etc. or from a cell phone picture that you take of a copy you own or have access to at a library, relative’s house, etc.). Tell us why you think each of these 5 books is a “true” picture book or more of a “picture story book.” (You will obviously have to be able to read these books ahead of time, either online or in paper form).

Note: It is best to choose books that tell a story rather than those that “teach” colors, shapes, etc. In other words, we want fiction, not non-fiction for this discussion. Also, please avoid “Early Reader” books, such as Dr. Seuss, A Child’s Anthology of Poetry, Goodnight Moon, Where the Wild Things Are, Charlotte’s Web and The Classic Fairy Tale for this assignment. Many/most (?) picture books and picture storybooks tend to be “over-sized” books.

I uploaded the sample file for you.

See Question below

For the weekly synthesis, complete a Course Synthesis where you reflect on what you have learned about using and managing information systems in business. Don’t just list the topics we covered in class. I am more interested in what you learned about the use of an IS and how it will play a role in your careers. I attached the book but, you don’t need to reference the book.
